For August 8, 2024, I'm Dana Gresch. So far this week Nancy's been leading us through the first few verses of Proverbs

Chapter 31. She covered a lot of practical topics like the value of teaching

your children and whether believers are free to drink in moderation. But when most of us

hear Proverbs 31, we actually think about verses 10 through 31.

The verse is about the famed Proverbs 31 Woman.

Well for the next couple of weeks or so, we'll get to know this Proverbs 31 woman better.

To begin, Nancy's just going to read Proverbs 31 10 to 31 in the New Living translation.

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies. Her husband

can trust her and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him, but

help him all her life.

She finds wool and flax and busily spins it.

She's like a merchant's ship.

She brings her food from afar.

She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household

and plan the day's work for her servant girls. She goes out to inspect a field and

buys it. With her earnings she plants a vineyard.
