0:10.0	It is vital that we give attention to our families while we can,
0:14.0	and it is especially important to give attention to what God says in his word about our homes.
0:20.0	For the next few minutes, let's join Scott Pauli,
0:23.0	as we open the scriptures and find God's message for your family.
0:44.6	What should our greatest goal be as followers of Jesus Christ?
0:47.7	The answer to that is to be like Jesus.
0:51.6	God Almighty is working in every one of us.
0:55.5	The Bible says so that we would be conformed to the image of his son.
1:02.4	He wants every one of his children to look like, to act like, to think like the well-beloved son, the only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:05.9	And the last time we studied, we were in Ephesians chapter 5 talking about being filled with the Holy Spirit.
1:12.0	And I think there's a beautiful progression of truth here because why did the Holy Spirit come?
1:17.1	Well, the Holy Spirit came to lift up Christ. The Holy Spirit came so that Christ would be formed
1:22.3	in us. And when the Holy Spirit has his way in our homes, in our families, guess what happens?
1:28.5	The Holy Spirit begins to help each one of us become more like the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:33.7	You'll know the Holy Spirit is at work in a big way.
1:36.7	When the Lord starts getting out of you all the things that don't look like Jesus
1:40.1	and putting into you all the things that do look like Jesus.
1:44.4	Let's pick up in Ephesians chapter 5 where we left off.
1:47.3	Verse 21 says, submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
1:51.6	And then it begins a very practical section dealing with every person in the home.
1:56.5	In verse 22, wives, submit yourselves under your own husbands as unto the Lord.
