In fact, Todd, more than anybody, he bounces around on our schedules on these Friday shows when we have been on the road this year. We're in studio today, so it's his normal time. And I hope you know how much we appreciate you doing that all season. Todd, you've been a, you've been a trooper for us. I'll always have some flexibility for you, Brownie. If it was done away sitting in the host chair, I'd feel a lot differently on a regular basis. He always tells me no when you guys are out. Yeah, that's right. All right, it is championship weekend. I would like to start tonight with the school I attended for six years and almost got a degree. Jacksonville State, we were just talking about this earlier, Furman. They never lose at home in conference play. Kennesaw rarely wins on the road in conference play. This game is in Jacksonville, yet Kennesaw favored two and a half. What are we missing? You know, Brownie, a lot of people go to college for six years. They tend to get doctorate, let alone an undergraduate degree. Kudos to you on that and your long-lasting legacy that you'll leave with Game Cock Nation.

But this is one of six conference championship games of the nine that's a rematch from a matchup that we saw earlier in the season.

3:03.0

And this one's fascinating for a variety of reasons, because when you look at Kennesaw and Jack State, how that first game went,

5:04.5

I know what the final score says, but Kennesaw State constantly shot themselves in the foot, and I'm not sure that that's going to be this scenario again in this particular spot. Now, keep in mind that the best player in this game is going to be wearing a Gamecox jersey, and that, of course, would be Cam Cook, the TCU transfer, who has been outstanding, 3526 the last time around, but you dig into that score line. I mean, Kennesaw racked up nearly 600 yards. Just couldn't avoid that turnover bug as they finished minus four in the interception department. I wanted three to back out of the game talks in this game. I don't think the market is going to get there. I do respect some of the folks that I work with that were more than happy to lay that short price with Kennesaw at minus one minus one and a half. But if you're going to give me a team that can run the football more effectively, that's always going to be the way that I'm going to gravitate. Revenge kind of gets thrown out the window a little bit for me in this spot. But I do have a little bit of concern, you know, with Kennesaw, and I was surprised to see them take as much money as they did. I mean, this is a group that has really been on the go. You look at their schedule. This will be their fifth road game in the last six weeks, or I should say fourth in the last five weeks, having to travel all over Conference USA. So Eileen Jack State just haven't gotten there yet unless they get a three. Major implications in the American tonight with North Texas taking on Tulane. We were talking about Tulane earlier. They're just statistically middle of the road. I don't know how they're doing it. John Summerall, who's now taking the Florida job, has said it about his team. We're just average. But they continue to find ways to win. But you look at North Texas, they've covered six straight, Furman, and in those six games, they're averaging 585 yards per game. This offense has been incredible, but for whatever reason, I like the dog plus two and a half. Yeah, I'm with you on the dog. Grab some three earlier in the week, have no problems taking the two and a half. That's widely available on game day today. Tulane is a team that's going to be able to run the football effectively here. And while that doesn't necessarily give you a margin for air, given how explosive and dynamic North Texas has been offensively, I think they can win both lines of scrimmage here. Going down in New Orleans has been a very difficult task for American Athletic Conference opponents. And I do think it's going to be an emotionally charged atmosphere, you know, essentially with two head coaches

5:08.2

that are moving on for greener pastures and the P4 level. You dig into North Texas, though,

5:13.8

and while they put up some of these crooked numbers, the only team that I would say over the last

5:18.1

five, six weeks they played with a defensive pulse would be Navy,

5:21.2

and that was their lowest offensive output with just 31 points. It is important to keep in mind
