| 1:22.6 | So I've been told that there's a lot at stake for the right to go to Santa Clara and play for the Lombardi trophy, despite the Rams best effort to kind of give the game away, so to speak, last weekend in Chicago. Here they are, and I think it's the game that every football fan should want to see the rubber match between two teams who are arguably the best, not just in their own division in the NFC, but maybe in the entire league for the majority of the season. Yeah, and Furman, I mean, you know, the Rams are kind of limping into this thing. I mean, they're in the NFC championship, but they're four and three in their last seven. They haven't played well. They haven't covered either one of their postseason games. Do you feel like with Seattle winning 41-6, that did inflate this number just a bit? I mean, if you go back to the Thursday night, crazy game in Lumen last month, Seattle was a one-and-a-half-point favorite. They ended up winning on the two-point conversion. But I thought this thing would be more in line with Seattle, one-and-a-half again. But based on the Rams struggling a little bit, letting Chicago back in that game at Seattle blowing out San Francisco. Do you think it's inflated just a little bit? No doubt about it. The optics of recent performances changed the dynamic in play, and it's part of the reason that we saw the Seahawks actually open a full field goal favorite. In this game, of course, that three didn't last all that long. You had betters who thought that was a bridge too far. Grabbing the three, figuring there was a much better chance that the number would trend towards two and a half than going through the three, out to three and a half. Two and a half, it's had pretty good two-way action from a lot of the books that I've spoken to because I think people are trying to balance that exact question that you propose there, Lance, looking at Seattle, knowing that they've beaten up on the 49ers in each of their last two games. They were dominant against the Carolina Panthers on the road in Charlotte. And those are the only three data points we have for Seattle since they beat the Rams in overtime on that Thursday night game that kind of changed the dynamic of home field advantage in the NFC playoff. |
| 3:10.3 | Meanwhile, on the flip side of things, the Rams are playing on the road for the third straight week in the playoffs and offense that hasn't looked nearly as explosive as what we've grown accustomed to. |
| 3:19.2 | But credit the Rams, they found a way to win last week against the Bears not playing their best game. |
| 3:24.3 | Sean McVeigh kind of went away from the ground and pound attack that I think would have been a little bit more successful. |
