Uber is in discussions with Delivery Hero regarding a potential takeover of the German food delivery app.

Delivery Hero said today that talks are at an advanced stage and didn't comment on speculation about the price of the offer.

Uber previously approached the company in May with an offer that value delivery hero at nearly $11.4 billion. Uber declined to comment on the latest

negotiations. Uber has been working to strengthen his foothold abroad lately in its ride-hailing

and food delivery businesses as competition in both spaces heats up.

The Consumer Price Index for June showed a big jump in prices for computer software.

That's likely a reflection of widespread AI adoption across the U.S. for both professional and personal uses.

According to the Labor Department, the price index for computer software and accessories increased 2.3% on the month in June and 17.4% on the year.

The latter being the largest increase on record.

Prices in some other AI-related categories, including smartphones, decreased.
