Here's your TnB Tech Minute for Tuesday, August 13th. I'm Zoe Thomas for the Wall Street Journal. The United Auto Workers has filed federal labor charges against former President Donald Trump and

Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

The union is alleging Trump and Musk attempted to intimidate workers during their conversation on Musk's social media platform X last night.

The union seized on remarks Trump made about how an employer should handle striking workers. The UAW is one of the country's biggest unions and has endorsed

Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential campaign. Representatives from Musk and the Trump

campaign didn't respond to requests for comment.

We exclusively report that Chinese tech giant Huawei is close to introducing a new chip for artificial

intelligence use.

Chinese internet companies and telecommunications operators have been testing the new chip

in recent weeks.

That's according to people familiar with the matter.

They said Huawei told potential clients that its latest

processor is comparable to one NVIDIA introduced last year and isn't directly

available in China. Huawei's ability to keep advancing in chips is the latest sign of how the company has managed

to overcome U.S. sanctions.
