The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration closed its longstanding investigation into

unexpected breaking issues in certain Tesla models.

The federal safety regulator launched a review in 2022, after a surge of complaints tied to

unexpected deceleration when an autopilot. But now, it says the frequency of complaints

has dropped sharply. Just three incidents have been reported since the start of this year, down from

45 in 2024. Though the evaluation is now closed, the agency said it could take additional

action if the situation changes. Google lost its appeal against a record $4.69 billion fine

imposed by the European Union. The Block's top court upheld the penalty today, ending a years-long dispute over how Google

required device manufacturers to pre-install its search engine and web browser on Android devices

in order to license the company's app store. The company said the decision failed to recognize

the company's significant investment to ensure Android remains open,

interoperable, and free. And SAP is reining in hiring and travel costs to fund its AI expansion.

The German enterprise software maker says it's continuously revising its spending priorities

to focus on AI initiatives. As a means to avoid layoffs,

the company instead plans to redeploy workers into roles where they can use the technology to boost

productivity. Rapid advancements in AI have rattled the software industry, as investors question

whether custom AI agents could eventually replace the services companies like

SAP sell to businesses.

SAP shares are down over 30% so far this year.
