Here's your morning TNB Tech Minute for Wednesday, March 25th. I'm Julie Chang for the Wall Street Journal.

We exclusively report that President Trump plans to appoint top business leaders, including

meta-CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle Executive Chairman Larry Ellison, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang,

to a new technology council. A White House official said the president's council on advisors on

science and technology will advise on AI policy and emerging tech issues. Past presidents, including

George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have named similar bodies. The council tends to serve as a

brain trust to the White House on key issues around scientific developments.

The willingness of major corporate leaders to join advisory roles in the Trump administration

marks a shift from his first term, which saw boycotts and high-profile resignations.

Several of the council members lead companies that have helped fund the president's pet projects.

For example, META donated to Trump's ballroom, as did Huang in a personal capacity.

A New Mexico jury on Tuesday found META liable for failing to protect young people from online dangers,

including sexually explicit content, solicitation, and human trafficking.

The jury found the Facebook and Instagram parent liable for misleading consumers about the safety

of its platforms and endangering children under the state's consumer protection laws.
