Supreme Court justices sought today to thread a needle on internet free speech.

The Court heard nearly four hours of argument to determine the constitutionality of a pair of state laws,

one from Florida, one from Texas, that seek to prevent online platforms from

moderating users' posts.

By the end, it seemed clear the court was unwilling to accept either side's conception

of what social media is.

An edited publication entitled to full First Amendment

freedoms or a common carrier like a phone company that must transmit information without

discriminating among its users.

Decisions in today's cases are expected before July.

Investment firm KKR has agreed to buy Broadcom's end-user computing division for about

$4 billion. The business will become a standalone company once the deal closes and will continue to be run by its existing management team.

KKR said it plans to pursue new strategic partnerships and that it plans to invest in go-to-market functions with a focus on customer

relationships. K-K-K-R said it expects the deal to close this year. And Chinese

Electric Vehicle Company, B-Y-D, has launched its its U9 model, the company's most expensive vehicle

yet at about $233,000.
