Tesla is recalling more than 2 million vehicles over concerns around its autopilot system.

Regulators say the safety recall covers some of the Tesla models 3, S, X, and Y sold in the

U.S. between 2012 and 2023.

Tesla's autopilot system may not have sufficient controls in place to prevent driver misuse,

according to the recall notice.

The recall comes amid a two-year probe by US auto safety regulators looking into crashes involving the driver assistance technology.
