Here's your T&B Tech Minute for Tuesday, April 16th. I'm Alex Osala for the Wall Street Journal.

We exclusively report that SpaceX has begun to crack down on users who are connecting to its Starlink internet from countries

where it hasn't been authorized. Starlink customers in Sudan, Zimbabwe, and South Africa have

received email notifications from the company in recent days, warning that their access to the

service would be terminated by the end of the month.

It's a step to close an expanding black market for the company's satellite kits highlighted by

a recent Wall Street Journal investigation.

A SpaceX spokesman didn't respond to a request for comment.

Microsoft will invest $1.5 billion in G42, an Abu Dhabi-based technology company.

The deal includes an intergovernmental pact to ensure artificial intelligence security as the

U.S. and China increasingly compete for influence in the Gulf.

Relations between the U.S. and UAE have been strained in recent years

over Abu Dhabi's growing ties to China and the agreement signals a pivot towards Washington

for the Gulf State. Terms of the deal or evaluation of G42 weren't disclosed.

And Tesla has delayed deliveries of its cyber truck in recent days.

Buyers say Tesla pushed back the scheduled delivery date for the stainless steel pickup truck without giving a reason.

It couldn't be determined how many buyers were affected.

Tesla didn't immediately return a request for comment.
