Poolside and NVIDIA-backed AI startup is partnering up with CoreWeave to build a massive data center in West Texas,

one that can generate its own power and is two-thirds the size of Central Park. The site is located in the heart of the

fracking boom, and the companies are betting that the proximity to natural gas resources could

reduce costs and improve the long-term viability of the data center. In other data center news,

BlackRock's new AI Infrastructure Consortium agreed to acquire Aligned Data Centers from McCory Asset Management,

in a deal that values the company at around $40 billion.

The buyer group also includes Mabotala investments, MGX, and BlackRock's global infrastructure partners.

The company said the purchase is one of the largest data center deals ever,

and pending regulatory

approvals should close in the first half of 2026. And Waymo is launching a fully autonomous

ride-hailing service in London next year, the Alphabet-owned company's European debut. The first

fleet of vehicles is already in transit and will begin navigating through London,

with humans driving to map streets and collect data, in the coming weeks.

Additionally, Uber is planning to roll out a robotaxy service in London after striking a partnership with local autonomous driving startup, Wave.
