0:26.8	Wall Street Journal. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told employees yesterday that the company was declaring
0:33.2	a code red effort to improve the quality of chatpT and delaying other products as a result.
0:39.9	That's according to an internal memo viewed by the Wall Street Journal. Altman said
0:43.9	OpenAI had more work to do to improve the chatbot's personalization features, increase its
0:49.4	speed and reliability, and allow it to answer a wider range of questions. The company-wide memo shows the
0:55.7	pressure OpenAI is facing from competitors, particularly Google, which released a new version of
1:01.5	its Gemini AI model last month that surpassed OpenAI on industry benchmark tests. Altman said
1:07.8	OpenAI would push back work on other initiatives, such as advertising and

1:24.5	announced yesterday that John Gianandrea, the company's senior vice president in charge of AI strategy, is stepping down.
