Craig for the Wall Street Journal. As tariffs threatened to upend

global supply chains, U.S. chip giant, NVIDIA, is leaning into local partnerships with Foxcon and

TSM to build Taiwan's first AI supercomputer. Invitya said Foxcon will provide the AI infrastructure,

while TSMC researchers will use that system to advance R&D.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Wong described Taiwan as a nexus for AI advancement and said his company is planning to build a new hub there.

Invidia also said it's opening its server platform to allow other companies to build semi-custom

AI infrastructure, and it announced expanded partnerships with ACER and ASUS to make new

high-performance desktop supercomputers.

Elsewhere, Chinese tech giant, Zhaomi, is working to make itself more self-sufficient

in the semiconductor industry as U.S.-China trade

tensions simmer. In the social media post today, the company's founder and CEO said it would

invest $7 billion in chip design over the next decade. Xiaomi is also expected to introduce

a 3-nanometer mobile chip this week, which Chinese state TV declared as a breakthrough in

Chinese chip design. And finally, 23 and Me will live on inside biotech company Regeneron,

which has agreed to buy the beleaguered DNA testing company out of bankruptcy. The $256 million

price tag is a steep fall from the $6 billion peak valuation that 23 and Me achieved in 2021.
