Here is your morning TNB Tech Minute for Wednesday, September 17th. I'm Zoe Colkin for the

Wall Street Journal. Nokia has announced the creation of two new teams to strengthen its

innovation capabilities in fields like artificial intelligence, as

well as improved support for business development.

These additions are effective at the start of next month, with Paula Vee Mahajan joining

the company as chief of technology in AI officer, and Constante of Chariq joining as chief

corporate development officer.

Plus, Apollo Global Management is looking into a sale of internet pioneer AOL after getting

interest in the business, according to people familiar with the matter.

The people said any deal could value AOL at around $1.5 billion, but cautioned it is also possible

the talks won't result in any deal at all.

Apollo bought AOL in 2021 as a part of a $5 billion deal

to acquire that business and Yahoo from Verizon. AOL generates around $400 million in annual

earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, the people familiar with the matter

said. Finally, CrowdStrike set it plans to acquire Pangea Cyber for around $260 million

amid concerns about the security of generative AI platforms booming at companies across various industries.

Pangia Cyber monitors the use of AI systems within corporate networks and specializes in protecting companies from a type of

cyber attack called prompt injection, where hackers trick a language model into ignoring built-in
