plans to prohibit social media companies from using algorithms to steer content to

children without parental consent,

people familiar with the matter said.

The bill is still being finalized,

but is expected to be voted on this week.

It would also prohibit platforms

from sending minors notifications during overnight hours without

parental consent.

New York's Governor Kathy Hoagull says the measure would make social media less addictive.

Industry groups have raised questions about the constitutionality of the proposal.

Advanced Micro Devices has introduced its latest artificial intelligence chips at a trade show in

Taipei. The company also laid out plans to roll out new products every year.

A.M.D. showcased its latest MI 325X accelerator. The chip will be available in the fourth quarter and will help meet growing computing demands

at AI data centers according to a statement.

The moves are a bid to challenge Invidia's dominance in the AI boom.

And Spotify is raising prices for the second time this year.

Starting in July, premium, duo, and family memberships will go go up one to three dollars depending on the plan.
