Neuralink encountered a problem with the implant in its first human patient that reduced the

amount of data it could capture from his brain.

Nurellink posted about the problem on a blog after the Wall Street Journal inquired about the issue.

Some data was lost because a number of the implant's threads that had been placed in the patient's

brain came out.

The company, owned by Elon Musk, didn't disclose the reason why some threads retracted unexpectedly.

Neuralink has set a goal to implant 10 people this year with its device.

We exclusively report that Mistral AI is nearing a deal to raise funds at a six billion dollar valuation,

nearly tripling its level from six months ago. Existing backers general catalyst and

light-speed venture partners are expected to be among the biggest investors in the new funding round,

in which Mistral is set to raise about $600 million.

That's according to people familiar with the situation.

And in another exclusive, we report that T-Mobile and Verizon are in discussions

to carve up U.S. cellular, one of the country's last major regional wireless carriers,

in separate transactions that would give both buyers access to valuable airwaves.

T-Mobile is closing in on a deal that would take over some operations and wireless spectrum licenses.

That's according to people familiar with the matter. That $2 billion deal could be reached as soon as later this month.
