In a major reversal, Google is ending a plan to eliminate the tracking technology known as

cookies in its Chrome browser.

Both digital advertising companies and regulators objected to the plan

and to Google's proposed replacement technologies.

Chrome users can already choose to block cookies in the browser's settings.

Now instead of eliminating them, Google will present users with a

prompt to decide whether to turn cookies on or off. That's according to the UK Privacy

regulator, which has been overseeing Google's plan to block cookies.

Elon Musk says Tesla will have humanoid robots in production next year.

In a post on his social media platform X, he said that the robots would be for internal use at Tesla first.

Then the electric vehicle maker would aim to produce its cars more

Tesla wants the technology to help produce its cars more efficiently,

complete difficult chores, and reduce labor shortages.

Musk has a history of predicting timelines that don't always pan out.

The company has been working on the robots for several years as part of its efforts to expand

into robotics and artificial intelligence.

And Crowd Strike is warning that bad actors were trying to gain access to customer's systems
