We started this series charting the rise and fall of the Aces and Eighth,

but little did we know that the secret story within this Patreon podcast series

has actually been the real downfall of TNA and the death of the Hogan and Bischoff era.

Yeah, when we started, I think we both were excited to do Aces and Eighths and The Wedding

and Bully Ray and the boob falling out and all the famous moments from the Aces and

eight storyline, it's getting hard in here.

Yeah, you've named things from one episode of Impact.

That one episode is great. All three versions of it.

But yes, what we didn't realize was that the Aces and Eighth storyline is beloved potentially

because that was the dying spasms of a promotion that was losing its money. And it had to do a big course correct.

Of course, yes, we know TNA is still in existence. But the Dixie Carter version of TNA,

the original TNA, the old TNA is in its dine phases.

Yeah, I think that we are looking at, you can split TN up into lots of different eras and iterations. There's obviously the Nashville Fairgrounds era, then there's the, I would call, although it's not quite going straight to Spike TV, there's the Impact Zone era. Then there's probably, you can say, the Spike era, which is like for a couple of years. Then it's the Hogan and Bischoff era. and that's probably you can say the Spike era, which like for a couple of years.

Then it's the Hogan and Bischoff era. And that's, you know, it's January 4th, 2010. And I don't know what it was in my head. I didn't realize it would actually coalesce with our coverage of Aces and Ates. Like we're going to, in this run of episodes we're going to talk about here. Hogan leaves. Hogan's gone. Bishofs basically gone as well because we are now dealing with all of the outcomes of Hogan and Bischoff's

reckless spending and reckless actions with this promotion. Going into our next era, which is

why is this company still around?

Yes.
