Hello. Today we go to Caro Road on the 30th anniversary of our visit to play

Norwich City but not before we do a little re-rewind

and deal with Barnsley. I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be in early January

than Bloody Barnsley and Wilco didn't want to be there either did he in the F.

This is why we got promoted to get away from this team in particular who did the double over us last season, our promotion season, the only team to do it and nearly derailed the whole thing at Ellen Road when Mervyn Day came out like a

fucking Mary, to use Howard Wilkinson's term and yeah he couldn't really be bothered going back

there in the the FAA cup the worst possible draw away from home against a team that's doing well in a lower

division than a local rival as well and it had so much going against it this match it was horrible.

And a bit of post-traumatic stress disorder as well from the previous barnsly defeat of the season before

and it all felt like it had gone wrong.

And David Batty's bad memory in particular of going to Oakwell for a 1 mil defeat,

he forgot his boots, ended up wearing Gary Speed's boots

which were a size too big for him.
