today's topic is about how emotions are not based on our circumstances this is

a fascinating subject that came to me while I was in London last week talking with a friend who lives there about some stuff that she had going on personally in her life.

Here's a little backstory. I'm going to keep the friend anonymous because this isn't really about her, but the conversation and the lessons that came out of the conversation.

So I will say just so you guys have a little bit of information about what we were

discussing this friend had cancer when she was 25 and that was about four or five

years ago I think for her and she's totally recovered now doing great. She actually had a really unusually good, easy,

positive cancer treatment situation scenario.

So the story isn't truly about the cancer,

but it is part of the backstory of why this conversation came up.

Right now, as she's fully in remission and her family has moved on from that difficult period of time,

she is going through some stuff with her

family and their concerns about life and she was having some very

seemingly natural reactions to it. In particular one of her family members is

very stressed about working too much and is having a hard time

relaxing.
