Welcome back to 2 Jiggy Girls. This is Mary from the Bay and it's Courtney from LA and

we are back this week and let's just let's just get into it huh? We took

class week off and it was a big week for me to do reflection and to listen and

learn and I'm really happy we took that time off. Yeah I mean we'd said like to us

it didn't feel right obviously there's like bigger things going on the world we

wanted people that you know a lot of people were looking for resources and

education and to hear black voices and all of that and we just didn't feel

that ours was something that needed to be heard as opposed to maybe wanted to

be heard last week and I think we really like Mary said you know we really took

the opportunity to be active listeners again guys we all know Mary and I are

two relatively privileged white girls right so we don't experience things

that other people are listeners, jurors, people in the world have to go

through on a daily basis and we can't ever begin to understand that but we're

trying to be better allies and be more self-aware of what we say what our

actions are and like how what we can do can be implications on other people and

be you know even like microaggressions I think of you know and things that we

don't even realize we're doing that can be offensive so it's we're not obviously

perfect products yet and we're always trying to you know let's be honest to

everybody saying like listen and grow and listen and learn but like real really

we are really trying to I see really learned a lot last week especially about my

own white privilege and you know I didn't really always take that into account

and I feel like last week was eye-opening to me so I feel like I've learned and
