Amanda Lewis extras, because there's always stuff that we can't quite get into our season that we

want to talk about. There's always questions that listeners have. And there's thoughts that I want to share as

the season goes on. So today we're going to be covering as much of that stuff as we can. So as always,

my name is Rabia Chaudi. I'm an attorney and author and I am here with my colleague Colin Miller.

Hi, Colin. Hi, this is Colin Miller. I'm a professor at the University of South Carolina School of

Law and I blog at evidence prof blog. And as Rabia noted, over the course of 11 episodes,

we have dug deep into all the key details of the Amanda Lewis case.

Once again, just setting the scene back in 2008, Amanda was convicted by a jury of six of the drowning death of her seven-year-old daughter, Adriana.

She has been in prison for the last 17 years and we updated you in our very last

episode. Based upon work done and research from this podcast, an appeal has been filed

in behalf of Amanda claiming four separate errors, each and every one of which we think

should lead to her conviction being thrown out. And as Rabia noted in this follow-up episode, we have some things we want to address. We didn't touch upon these things for pacing. We have some questions from listeners. And so let's go ahead and dive into a first potentially huge issue or potentially non-issue. So the first thing we want to talk about is the blood stains on the side of the pool.

Now, we did not note in our coverage that there were blood stains on the pool, and that's because

a state itself had no idea what to make of them. So let's start by reorienting you about

the pool's positioning. The trailer, Amanda and Adrietta Live, was at 33-43 First Avenue

South in Esto, Florida. And as we've noted,

First Avenue South is an east-west street, and the trailer is on the south side of the street.

When we talked about AJ's drawing of the drowning, we noted how the kid's wagon was pulled

next to the northwest side of the pool. The defense theory and first respond to Charles Corcoran's initial

claim was that Adriana got into the wagon and then fell into the pool from the wagon. We also talked
