Welcome to the program today. My name is Mondo Gonzalez and I'm here with an archaeology update and I have a great guest to give us an update on that specific topic.

Dr. Titus Kennedy, welcome.

Thank you, Monda.

It's been great. We've had a great time here recording several other programs about a variety of topics.

And based on Titus' new book, he has a new book called Excavating

the Evidence for Jesus, just coming out here right around late March of 2022. And the subtitle

is the archaeology and history of Christ and the Gospels. And so while he was here, I wanted

to ask him a little bit about,

because he's in the field.

He's a field archaeologist.

He's out and about in a variety of places. But I would like to give the audience something of recent discovery,

maybe hot off the press.

What can you tell us?

Well, something connected to biblical archaeology that was fairly recently discovered was a steely in Egypt that talked about some events during the reign of Pharaoh Hafer.

Now, Haferra is mentioned in the Old Testament.

Specifically, Jeremiah talks about a diplomatic mission to Egypt to ask the Egyptians

under Pharaoh Hafe for help fighting the Babylonians.

And then he does, he comes, and he tries to help them.

You know, it's unsuccessful.

Obviously, Babylon wins in the end.

But this steely not only further gives us evidence for the existence of

Pharaoh-Hafra and his role in Egypt, but it even seems to talk about one of his campaigns to the east,
