Oh man, y'all, I am fired up to start a brand new series today. It's been a couple of months of

diving into this short book of the Bible in the New Testament. And I have sermons where I've planned

ahead of time, like months in advance, and then I get to the week of, and then I look at the

passage, and I let it fill me, and I study it deeply deeply and then deliver sermons on Sundays. But then I have some where the passage

has been written in my heart over the course of months and I'm like, I can't wait for that

Sunday. I can't wait for what God's going to say. And I've had May 31st, Titus chapter 1,

don't turn there yet, circled in my mind for a long, long time. Now the book of Titus chapter 1, don't turn there yet, circled in my mind for a long, long time.

Now the book of Titus might sound like a suspicious book to actually be excited about because

it's all about biblical manhood. And as we're leading up to Father's Day, we're halfway

between Mother's Day and Father's Day. So I just want to warn you guys, we're a couple

weeks away from Father's Day. If you needed that heads up ahead of time, you didn't need that. We need the Mother's Day and Father's Day. So I just want to warn you guys, we're a couple weeks away from Father's Day.

but we're going to talk about biblical manhood and we're going to frame it through what Paul tells to Titus,

which is as men lead the way in their families and in the local church,

the congregation follows suit with the same lifestyle that the men who are leading the way are emulating, and it is a healthy approach to how a family of churches can move forward and

becoming more like Jesus over time. But before I tell you about all that, I want to tell you about some of the men in this church. Yesterday, I got the opportunity to do something incredibly special and incredibly painful. I did the MIRF challenge with a group of men here in Auburn. Now, if you don't know what MIRF is, MIRF is what's called a hero workout, which are made famous by CrossFit. They're named after

men and women who have given their lives in service to our country, and they kind of have a favorite

workout. And so Murph is named after a Navy SEAL who gave his life in service to our country.

But his favorite workout was running a mile, doing 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, which if you need me to demonstrate

that, I can't because these pants are a little tight, but 300 air squats and then run another
