For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.

Well that's the good news that our teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee is going to share

as he begins our study in the New Testament book of Titus beginning in chapter 2. I'm Steve Sweats,

your host on this five-year journey through God's entire word and I'm so excited

to get started as our study is packed with what's really some practical truth for us

as a church and for each of us individually. Now throughout these pastoral epistles, or letters,

Paul has been giving guidance and encouragement to young pastors.

A few months ago we looked at his letters to Timothy

and next time we'll be finishing up with his letter to Titus.

Through the centuries the instructions given to Timothy and Titus have provided important guidelines

for local churches.

As you can probably tell after serving as a pastor for more than 40 years,

Dr. McGee had a very warm spot in his heart for local churches and the pastors that serve.

So as we begin our study, I want to share a few letters from pastors who

travel with us on the Bible bus. The first one comes from Myanmar. I am a

pastor and would like to receive more of your SD cards and players. I take them to new believers who cannot attend church

every week due to distance and many difficult situations in Burma. I thank God that your

program is a convenient tool and is always ready to reveal the truth in the word.

It is like a Bible teacher and keeps their faith alive in God's ways and builds them up in Christ

every day.
