Welcome to our new project, the Daily Bible Devotional. The goal is to help you understand and apply

scripture as you go through a New Testament Bible read five days a week, Monday through Friday,

as we move from Matthew straight through to Revelation. In under four minutes each morning, we will recap the chapter,

make some application, present thought questions for the day, and offer a prayer together.

I'm excited about exploring God's Word with you, so let's get started.

Welcome back to our study in the book of Titus.

Today we're in chapter 2.

Titus is directed to teach sound doctrine and guide various groups within the church and how to live godly lives.

Older men are to be temperate, worthy of respect and self-controlled.

Older women are to live reverently and train younger women to love their families and live pure

kind and submissive lives young men are urged to be self-controlled and titus himself is called to be an

example in integrity intentionality and sound speech slaves are instructed to be trustworthy and respectful

so that the teaching about God will be

attractive to others. Paul reminds all believers that the grace of God has appeared with the

tremendous promise of redemption and salvation, teaching disciples to say no to ungodliness and to live

upright lives as we await Christ's return.

What a beautiful little section there in Titus 2 about God's grace appearing through Jesus Christ, compelling us in life and in relationships to live in a very unique way.

Christians are reminded that sound teaching is not only about knowledge,

but also about how we live each day and reflect Jesus in those relationships.

We are part of a community where each generation matters, and we are responsible for guiding,

encouraging and modeling godliness for one another. Our conduct should reflect the grace we have received,

showing the world a different way, one marked by self-control, love, and integrity.
