Doing a Titanic-themed episode means we sort of have to talk about the elephant in the room here, Jess,

which is the Ocean Gate Submarine Tragedy.

We've gotten a lot of requests to cover the Titanic on this show.

And so in planning for this season, we thought, okay, let's do a Titanic conspiracies episode.

This will be kind of our response to that request.

We had no idea that something like this could be happening

in real time. Another tragedy, as you know, this was a submarine that had a group of tourists on it

to go look at the Titanic wreck, and they ran into complications. As we record this message to you, it's June 22nd, so we're only still getting information in about this, right, Jess?

Yeah.

We recorded our Titanic episode May 30th.

Yes, so weeks before all this happened.

It is 4 p.m. Central time, and we're just now getting information that, yeah, they have found

debris next to the Titanic, which they think they found kind of the top of the submarine down there.

And I think they're calling it here soon. So it doesn't look promising, unfortunately.

Yeah, it is a really horrific time right now for all these aquatic tragedies.

There's also the boat carrying migrants and refugees from Libya to Italy that sank in Greek

waters. It's just, you know, a bunch of stuff that we obviously hope wasn't
