Hello, we're doing an extra episode of newscast because the massive search and rescue

operation to find a submersible which disappeared in the North Atlantic on an expedition to visit

the Titanic has ended.

It ended with the news that some pieces of debris have been found, which has led the

rescuers to the conclusion that the five people on board have lost their lives.

This is a story that gripped the entire world over the last couple of days and it's

now come to a sad conclusion.

Now my colleague, Nomiya Ikbal, is in St. John's in Newfoundland and she's been covering

the story for the last couple of days.

Hi, Nomiya.

And I've just overheard you making lots of phone calls while you're getting ready to talk

to us.

of episodes ago when he was telling us about what it was like working on the attempted

recovery operation for the Russian submarine, the Cursk in 2000.
