Hello, good morning everyone. We have got Arta here out of Germany who was actually on the submersible and he chose to do this a few years back and we're going to find out about his experience.

0:15.0

Huge thank you for coming on Arta. Why did you decide to go on the trip to see the Titanic?

0:21.0

Good morning. First, when you do strips like this, you have to be a little bit crazy. You must be an adventurer.

0:31.0

It's not good if you're afraid. I have no afraid about anything.

0:38.0

The idea to the Titanic was born in 2016. It's a south pole. I was together with some friends from Canada, from Russia, from England, from the US.

We were talking what can we do as next. At this time, I had also my ticket to space. I said, maybe what would be interesting to dive maybe to the Bismarck, the Sherman battle ship from the second world war or the Titanic.

1:06.0

But at this moment, there was no possibility in the world to do this to a price. Maybe you rent a submarine for 20 or 30 millions. It would be possible.

1:16.0

And before it's a Russian have done with the submarine mirror, but it was very, very expensive. And then they stopped also. And there was no possibility.

1:26.0

And one year later, I got a call on a message from a friend in Canada that said, no, now we hear that ocean gate, the new company is founded and they will bring people like a tourist and company to the Titanic.

1:41.0

And there was one of the first people who sang the contract by ocean gate in year 2017, 2017.

1:48.0

When you were reading the contract, Arthur, what risks did it say were involved?

1:55.0

The contract was very bad, but not so bad as additional paper we have to sign on board short before we go dive.

2:06.0

So it's no liability for anything. You get no money. You have no regrets. You get nothing. And you have to think about it that you can be dead. And this is written more than one time in this additional paper.

2:20.0

Wow. So it sounds like you're an adventurer in general. Had you been down in the ocean before or was most of your stuff on land?

2:31.0

As a most of my stuff was on land, but I have been in the ocean in the Pacific one year or two years before.

2:39.0

But it was only two or three hundred meters a dive with a submarine. It was not an adventure like the Titanic dive.

2:47.0

Okay. So when you were boarding the vessel then, how did it feel was was everybody excited?

2:54.0

We have very, very excited. We have been very nervous because we know that it is a lost possibility for us to go down. It was the last dive in 2021.

3:04.0

The Dives before they have been only one time by the Titanic.

3:09.0

And the most of the Dives have been canceled to the bad vessel concession and some Dives have to stop in return because they have problems with batteries or the technical problems.

3:20.0

So we have been very nervous and we have been very, it was hard to go down. But when we have been by three, three thousand meters, it becomes a little bit better because it's running now two hours very well.

3:35.0

And when we lay down on the bottom by nearly four thousand meters down, you become better, your mood become better.
