It's Friday, August 22nd, 2025, and Fridays are Ask or Tell Me Anything along with a Friday five pack.

0:06.6

It's coming up next on the AM Update.

0:12.2

Well, thank you for making through another week on the AM Update with me.

0:16.2

I appreciate each and every one of you.

0:18.0

Unlike last week, we had a pretty smooth week when it came to

0:22.3

technological differences. None of those this week, thankfully. If you could, if you've already done

0:27.2

so, if you have it yet, of course, that's a must. Please give me a five-star review at the

0:32.1

podcast platform of your choice, whether that's on iTunes or Spotify. I would covet your five-star review. For some reason, those things help. I'm trying to get to 1,500 total between iTunes and Spotify this year, and I think we can get there. Just a few hundred more, and we'll be there. But I appreciate all of you for listening and for your five-star reviews. Coming up in the next segment, it'll be another edition of Ask or Tell Me Anything. Ask me any question you want. Tell me any news story you think needs covered on the AM update. But first, a Friday five-pack. Well, there's an appellate court in New York State that threw out Latisha James. That would be New York Attorney General. Leticia James's civil suit against President Trump. President Trump, that was almost $500 million.

1:13.6

President Trump responded to that big win on Truth Social, saying,

1:16.6

quote, I greatly respect the fact that the court had the courage to throw out this unlawful and disgraceful decision that was hurting business all throughout New York State.

1:24.6

Others were afraid to do business there.

1:26.6

The amount,

1:27.6

including interest and penalties, was over $550 million. It was a political witch hunt in a

1:34.2

business sense, the likes of which no one has ever seen before. This was a case of election

1:39.2

interference by the city and states trying to show illegally that I did things that were wrong

1:44.0

when, in fact, everything I did was absolutely correct. President Trump went on for another, what amounts to several paragraphs in that truth social post. That was, of course, he is correct. That was a witch hunt. It was always in nakedly a witch hunt. Of course, when you've got the Attorney General of the state of New York, one of her campaign messages was that she was running.

2:02.5

And if you like me, I'll go after.

2:04.2

I think those are her words, go after President Trump.

2:07.1

So that is a win for sanity and a win for President Trump's pocketbook.

2:11.5

No way he was ever going to be able to pay that, I would think.

2:14.6

Next up on a Friday five-pack, the Trump administration says it's reviewing all 55 million people here in the United States who have visas to uncover potentially deportable violations.

2:27.6

So that news came out yesterday, courtesy of the Associated Press.
