Well, I've been a bad writer this week, not a lick of writing.

Remember how I told you a few weeks back that I was painting my desk?

Well, I've been discombobulated ever since.

The desk turned out totally gorgeous, while also being a poster child for why it's dumb to paint

permanent furniture. It's not going to last for the long run, but for now it's lovely. Problem is I haven't gotten myself moved into it. I'm still

typing away on a little cardboard table with the monitor wriggling like it's in

an earthquake while I finished painting some windows and installing new blinds and curtains.

So this week the pile of misplaced papers and other odds and ends keeps growing on the card

table while I wait until I have a chance to move everything back to the desk.

And in the meantime, writing just has and it.

It was kind of a nice break for the first couple of days, but now it's turning into that old itch that needs
