0:07.3	I've learned just so much from his excellent book, Rich or Wiser, happier, and from listening
0:11.2	to his exceptional interviews on TIP.
0:13.4	But I never had the opportunity to chat with him.
0:16.2	So I invited him on to the show to discuss some of the primary lessons from his book and share
0:20.4	some of the knowledge that he's accumulated over his years of journalism. After this episode
0:24.6	ended, I got a chance to talk with William about the art of podcasting. He said something
0:28.6	incredibly profound to me. Whenever he interviews people, he's intentional about getting to the essence
0:33.8	of what they're trying to say. So even though he'll over-prepare for an episode, he's also done just so much research
0:39.8	and understands his guests at such a deep level that if an interesting point comes up
0:44.5	that he thinks requires more depth, he's willing to explore those ideas even further.
0:49.4	My first question in today's episode deals with the essence of what William was chasing
0:52.8	when he wrote, richer, wise, or happier. As you'll hear, his primary focus was trying to make the best
0:58.0	sense possible out of just an uncertain world. Now, while there's no definitive blueprint for
1:03.3	achieving his years of interviewing extraordinary investors have taught him that success often
1:07.6	comes down to tipping the odds in your favor. The essence of his excellent book
1:12.4	was to learn strategies, principles, processes, insights, habits, and personality traits that
1:17.3	outperformers have utilized to improve their odds of success, an absolutely invaluable approach
1:22.6	in navigating life's uncertainties. Our conversation explored topics like the art of cloning and the nuances that are
