Like I, and I learned this in music when I was in music for so long, like, why the artist I worked with blew up so much was because people got behind his story. People like felt it. People understood like, understood him, you know? And it was like, that's why he was so good with storytelling. And I kind of took that into my own marketing life of like, you need to build the brand bigger than just the product like anybody can

stay anywhere but if they have a reason that they're really like attaching to your brand that's how

actually works for BiggerPockets. He's got his own show called The Bigger Stays Podcasts through BP, and he's invested in real estate, doing big things in the STR game, the glamping space. I got my man, Garrett Brown, fresh out of Houston. What's up, Garrett? Man, happy to be here. Appreciate you having me on, man. Appreciate you coming down, dude. You're staying at the hotels and down the street, man. I am. in the flesh, man, and seeing your investment pay off there. I love it. How's this day been so far?

It's amazing, man. It's been seamless. It's cool seeing the operations and the renovations like we were talking about. And, yeah, it's very cool to see what you've done with it. A lot of history behind that building you're telling me about. And only six blocks from this podcast studio. It's not too far, man. But But man, so much to cover here, man. I'm excited to dive in. But first things first, what happened at Bigger Pockets with David Green, the two host, David Green and Rob Abasolo? Why did they get rid of both of the hosts? I actually wasn't even there when it happened. So to my knowledge, I honestly can't even speak on it. But that's probably a question for somebody much higher than me over a bigger pocket. Okay. Okay. Yeah, I was just curious. I mean, they got rid of, what's his name left? Brandon Turner left. And then David Green took over with Rob. And then I saw all of a sudden they were gone.

I used to listen to Bigger Pockets a lot when I was getting in real estate back in 2019.

I was like an avid listener.

And then I saw when Brandon Turner left, I stopped listening.

And then now fast forward, David's gone, Rob's gone.

I'm like, damn're they're just they're

just turning and burnt yeah now with Dave Myers the host now and he's been there for a while 10 years

you know like working at bigger pockets he's been the host of the on the market podcast brought that

up to you know has a massive fan base as well too so it was kind of a natural transition to bring

Dave on he's the head of

real estate, real estate investing now at Bigger Pockets. And like, yeah, I'm super happy with the strategy we have moving forward with him. He's, he's definitely insane, knowledgeable in the data of real estate. And then like has his, has his finger on the pulse of what actually is happening on all fronts to really give the insight that's needed now, I feel like.

And Bigger Pockets has sold twice now, which is, which is interesting. I'd be curious to see what numbers they traded for. Yeah. You said it's not public information. I'd be curious to see if we can find out what those numbers are. You might be able to. I don't know. But that is a big platform.

And the real estate investing space might be the biggest platform out there. Yeah. I believe so. Yeah. Anyways, man. So give us a snapshot of what you're doing in the real estate space today. So I mainly, I have two glamping resorts, micro resorts, nature hotels, whatever You want to call them near Houston and Austin, Texas.

That's kind of my main niche now.
