Well, yeah, we get to the nest over here this way. Okay, cool. I'm with Dr. Harold Greenie

on the outskirts of Tucson in southern Arizona. We're walking up in Arroyo, a dry riverbed,

just off a residential road.

There's actually a pair of Virio's building a nest right here.

Is that what the sound?

Yeah, that's what the who's singing in the background there.

I like the song of the Virio's, but right now I am fixated on finding a hummingbird nest.

Harold is a bird nest expert and he's agreed to show me

a couple of sites a few minutes from where he lives. We stepped through the crispy leaves between

mesquite trees and other scrubby plants. It's a thorny, untidy looking landscape, but it's the

type of habitat hummingbirds love for nest building.
