So the reason I have Russ here as a surprise is because last week we were so excited about announcing our new live show in LA, Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, and the millennial diva conundrum,

which will be on September 30th at Dynasty Typewriter. And Russ was so instrumental in putting

this show together. We kind of conceptualized it as a duo. It's obviously like a fascination

we share with this particular generation of pop divas. And so I just wanted to bring Russ on here

quickly to talk about how we put this show together and just like why we're so so excited about it.. And so I just wanted to bring Russ on here quickly to talk about how we put

the show together and just like why we're so so excited about it. I mean, I just wanted to say that

the journey with Katie's album has really like brought up some like interesting feelings within me

personally because I know that like we were young at the peak of their careers when they

seemed so invincible and like they were going

to be superstars forever. And so it's actually kind of been like a weirdly like existential crisis

on my part watching them navigate this part of their career where they're like, again, like not

quite legacy acts, but also not like super zeitgeisty. And you know, you and I were talking about

that a lot. And that's kind of how the idea for the show came up, essentially. Yeah, obviously they're both incredibly important pop stars to both

of us, Lady Gaga, in particular for me, because of when I started going out to the gay clubs,

those were all the songs that was during this imperial phase that we're sort of seeing Chapel go

through at this moment. And Katie, as a contrast to that we're sort of seeing Chapel go through at this moment.

And Katie, as a contrast to that, was sort of like the biggest capital P pop star, the most

capital B bubble gum. And those songs are so intrinsically linked to that moment. And yeah,

they were just these, these Titan figures. And I think both of us, like, maybe there was a time for Katie to snatch a comeback.

And that doesn't seem to be necessarily what is happening.
