My guest, Timothy Allofon, has had an unusual career for an

actor in the 21st century. He's made his bones as starring in westerns, first in HBO's Deadwood,

where he played an old-fashioned lawman as a modern-day morality he was taking over the West.

He's currently can be seen as the star of Justified on FX, where he plays a guy with old-fashioned

morals in the modern world.

If you throw in the crazies and his turn as the spirit of the West in Rango, he's kind of got

the five-star covered. Thanks so much for being here, Tim.

It's a pleasure. Thank you for having me.

One of the things I like about you as an actor is that you find a way to bring comedy into really tense situations. And I wonder where that

comes from for you. How much of that to you and how much is the way to get your way into these

characters? Well, I appreciate you noticing. First of all, I mean, you know, I don't know. I like

a little comedy with my drama. I was just kind of a fan of that. I mean, just a fan of those kinds of scenes, those kinds of performances.

Because one of my favorite things of yours is one of my favorite line reasons in fact comes from Go.

You said, there you go, and there's the family circus sitting there waiting to suck.

I didn't write that.

But you delivered it, though.
