podcast. This is the Baseball Tonight Podcast for Tuesday, July 16th, 2024. My name is Taylor Shwink. I'm in my hotel room in Dallas following the home run derby. Buster, he was one tired guy after the derby tonight

and he asked that I handled the open for this evening

so he could catch a couple extra minutes of sleep.

Here we are, but do not fear fear dear listener you're going to hear from

Buster and Eduardo Perez and Sarah Lange very soon here they're all they're

going to be you know in an improvised version of the clown car more like a hallway version of the

clown car but uh good stuff nonetheless with their derby reactions we got right after

the game had a lot of fun there we also have a few short on the field interviews Buster conducted before the start of the Derby.

Really fun stuff there.

You're going to hear the bats cracking in the background and the buzz of the stadium.

Oh man it was a good time so I hope you all enjoy those we will get to that and the

home run Derby highlights in just a moment. But first it's been a couple

days since we recorded so let's run through a few news and notes. The AL and NL starters

for the all-star game were announced. Paul Skeen's, it seems like the everyone in the

baseball community willed this into existence. He will start for the National

League and Orioles Ace, Corbin Burns, will start for the American League.

It's going to be all eyes on

Paul Skeen's at the start of that game versus the top of the AL lineup should

be exciting to watch. The Major League Baseball draft that started on Sunday carries on to this week that

got underway here in the the stockyards in Fort Worth I didn't attend but it
