Summary

A small scale time travel movie that has personal stakes as opposed to the usual world destroying stuff. It's easy to follow and a great example of the Predestination Paradox.

How do you feel about time travel films?

0:31.8

Like, just generally speaking.

0:33.3

Generally speaking, I like them.

0:34.9

I am always kind of intrigued by the time travel aspect and the idea of that in science fiction. I mean, there's classics. I mean, shit, back to the future being like, I mean, that was probably honestly my first exposure to the idea of time travel, if not maybe for an episode of Twilight Zone or some original Star Trek shit that I might have seen before that.

0:57.3

I remember to the idea of, oh, man, going into the past and trying to write mistakes in the past and avoiding your past self, like all those paradoxes and loops.

1:04.7

And I always found that stuff fascinating.

1:06.6

It always got my head spinning out about possibilities and just the idea like for one we talk

1:13.6

about these movies and movies like this of like oh it's time travel time travel but i also feel

1:17.8

like it really kind of opens up another maybe more existentially dreadful warped whole of

1:25.7

the idea of other dimensions and infinite selves and infinite realities.

1:30.5

And like, to me, that's the more crazy, wild aspect to every time travel story.

1:35.8

And this is one of those that gets into it, kind of like coherence, gets into the idea of your

1:40.2

other selves and the morality of looking at your other self and what is the value of

1:44.7

their life versus your life like dude that's the kind of interesting morality tale shit that

1:50.0

time travel can touch on uh so i'm always i'm always i'm always i'll put it this way always game

1:55.6

for a time travel movie but boy have there been plenty of shit ones too uh but overall man if you you you come into my boardroom
