In episode 474 astrologers Chris Brennan and Nick Dagan Best discuss Charlie Chaplin and Adolf Hitler as time twins who were born a few days apart both with Venus retrograde, and how subsequent Venus retrogrades coincided with important turning points in both of their lives. Hitler and Chaplin were born in April of 1889 only 4 days apart, and so their birth charts are remarkably similar, including both having Venus retrograde in Taurus. The issue of time twins or people who are born around the same time with similar charts is usually brought up as a criticism against astrology, since clearly two people born around the same time can have different destinies, but in this episode we demonstrate how two people born near in time can end up having important turning points happen in their lives at the same time due to shared transits. One example is how during the Venus retrograde in 1913 both men ended up moving to the place they would become famous, with Chaplin moving to Hollywood at this time, and Hitler moving to Germany. While their destinies were different, their timelines would often overlap in striking ways. This was originally a piece of a larger investigation into Venus retrogrades in Aries that we decided to break off into its own episode, in order to be able to really tell both of their stories in full, and demonstrate how important turning points in their lives tended to happen during the time of these Venus retrograde periods. Because our focus was primarily on the Venus retrograde periods we did not reflect on the broader issue of time twins as much as we could have, and so this is instead more of an initial introduction to astrologers can address the issue of time twins from a practical, conceptual, and philosophical standpoint. 0:03.6	In this episode, I'm going to be talking with astrology, Nick Dagan-Best, about the birth charts of Charlie Chaplin and Adolf Hitler,
0:11.3	who are both time twins that were born with very similar charts, and both responded very strongly to Venus retrograde periods because they were both born during Venus retrograde.
0:25.2	So it ends up being an interesting study on what's called Time Twins, which is people who are born at the same time,
0:32.1	or people that were born with roughly the same birth chart.

0:39.3	Hey, Chris, thanks for having me. Yeah, so this is a special study that you've done, especially with Venus retrogrades.
0:45.3	And part of the genesis of this is that we're researching an episode right now,
0:48.3	we're putting together an episode on the upcoming Venus retrograde in Ares that's about to take place this year in March and April of 2025.
0:58.6	And these two are people, as we were putting together that research that you've done presentations on before,
1:05.9	because both of them were born during that same retrograde,
1:09.0	and both of them had some of the most important turning points in their life take place under this retrograde that repeats every eight
1:15.9	years essentially right and that's that's something you've come to specialize in with venous
1:19.5	retrograde periods yeah that's correct and um chaplain and hitler were two of the earliest
1:25.9	examples i found um that that helped me sort of flesh out the system.
1:30.3	I mean, what I was doing ultimately was sort of rediscovering Babylonian goal year periods in a way for my own purposes.
1:38.3	I didn't know they recalled that. I had some vague idea that that's how astrology was done,
1:49.5	that these sonotic cycles of planets were used in a matter sort of like this, or presumably like this.
1:51.7	So the idea being, Venus being the easiest one, Venus has a sonotic cycle of eight years.
1:56.8	So every eight years, Venus makes a full, pretty much a full return relative to the sun, position-wise.
2:04.9	And if you look at your solar return or anyone's solar return for their eighth birthday, their 16th birthday, any multiple of eight,
2:12.1	Venus is always going to be very, very close to the natal position in those charts, in those solar return charts,
