0:43.4	No, thanks Joe. Thanks for having me and Alex always a pleasure.
0:46.7	The question, I think we got to go to Texas first man.
0:50.6	I mean, right.
0:52.4	And I don't even, I mean we got to start there, but where do you start in Texas?
0:56.8	I obviously pass the anti-abortion bill, I mean it's a completely, you know, basically a ban.
1:05.0	And not like that, the Supreme Court now, as we know, as everybody knows,
1:11.0	as we're recording this, denied an emergency request to block law but it just goes to
1:18.0	to the extreme levels that the GOP is going to through right now.
1:25.0	Yeah, so I went to high school and college in Texas,
1:27.6	and that's where I got my start in politics,
1:29.9	working for then Governor George W Bush 1997 who at the time was focused on immigration
1:36.5	and education right as a first soon to be second term governor and what I think you're seeing now in the first eight months of 2021 is the sum total of what
1:49.9	Republican governance means, which is if you look back at COVID, if you look back at the mess they
1:56.7	had from the frost or the deep freeze they had back in February and March where it totally
2:02.4	killed the power grid because Texas isn't connected
2:06.9	to the rest of the country and it all went down. People died, people froze to death. Electricity, water, gas was out for weeks in some places.
