And boy, what a program we have today.

Republicans are already scrambling in various states to make it harder to vote to, I mean,

literally, in one state they're talking about requiring, if you want to have a mail-in

ballot, you have to go to your bank and have it notarized.

Republicans are continuing to lie about COVID deaths in red states.

This is bizarre.

But I want to start out with the filibuster.

I think this is really important.

The filibuster basically is this.

There are 100 senators.

If one senator says I object to continuing with, you know, to moving forward with any kind

of discussion about any particular piece of legislation, once the debate is stopped,

the legislation is dead, right?

So any one senator can say I object and essentially launch a filibuster.

And this is not, Mr. Smith goes to Washington with Jimmy Stewart.

You don't have to stand.

You don't have to speak.

Yes, there have been filibusters like that.
