Changing the clocks in this way as we'll find out a bit later on is a relatively new phenomenon

Well I popped along to visit Mike Bothwell, who is the University of Cambridge's public

astronomer at the Institute of Astronomy.

Our planet is spinning. We spin once every 24 hours. The sun shines on one side of the planet and that gets daytime,

the night side of the planet, on the other side from the sun is nighttime, and then every 24
