Forgiveness is the only thing that heals a wound.

The big demonic lies that time heals all wounds.

In addition, forgiveness is giving up control of the situation and the outcome. When we're hurt, we want to control the outcome, and we need to leave that in God's hands.

It says in 1 Corinthians that love does not keep a record of wrongs.

Now what forgiveness is, it is making a record of wrongs and then canceling,
