Well folks, we've got one for you this week.

I took a little detour in the normal travels of the day

and landed at the old Benning Road beauty shop,

where my mom used to get her hair did as a young lady back in the day.

And I sat there in the side room,

listened to the ladies and watching the hair get quaffed

and put in place.

I'm excited to welcome two sisters that I love dearly

and enjoy having conversation with

April Ryan, political analyst, amazing reporter,

the longest serving black female White House correspondent

with 25-year tenure, spanning five presidential administrations.

She is also the author of Black Women Will Save the World.

She joins the conversation with Tara Setmeyer, former CNN commentator,

senior advisor at the Lincoln Project, and host of the live show,

the breakdown. She's also a resident scholar at the University of Virginia.

Both of them breakdown Tim Scott, breakdown,

a number of hot topics for us, including the debt ceiling,

and of course the NAACP warning about Florida.
