All right guys, we've got a special guest on the podcast today. His name is Tim Ross. He's a podcaster, author, and speaker. He's the host of the basement

podcast, and he's the former lead pastor of Embassy City Church in Irving, Texas. And so I absolutely

loved our conversation. I was so thrilled with it. I had a feeling we were going to have a good

conversation because we connected for about five or ten minutes before we got on. But we talked about his new book here that I've got right here, the missing piece. But I mean, it took us about 30 or 40 minutes to even get to it because we were just talking about how he got into ministry, like how he got saved, growing up very close to gang culture out in Englewood, California. And, you know, he and I had a lot of similar experiences with how we were brought up. But, you know, how he became a Christian, just the crazy

story. I love the detail he gave about his conversion story, getting into full-time ministry.

And guys, he ended up serving under Robert Morris at Gateway Church. So obviously, I've talked

a lot about Robert Morris on this show. And so we let him talk

about what it felt like whenever he realized that, you know, what the world realized, which is that

Robert Morris was a sexual deviant, a pedophile, and kind of how his name is always going to be

attached to Robert Morris in a way. And so I loved hearing him talk about that. But then as a lead

pastor of Embassy City Church,

after about seven years, he decided to go into full-time podcast ministry. And so even just hearing

his story about how he got into podcasting, how he felt the call to leave as a senior pastor

before podcasting was even on the table. That was very interesting. And then we got into the new

book, The Missing Peace.

We talk about how for a lot of ways, you know, people understand salvation as being this instantaneous

thing, but then healing for a lot of people becomes this really long-term process. And the prospect
