What's up? Parish Orphins and Retrogrades. Today is February the second, and it's actually the final day of the Christmas season, which is weird because most people think it's been long over. It's not. Today's the day I took down my outdoor nativity set and the last of our Christmas decorations,

I'm coming to you because Pope Francis is shaking

things up again. This is the old school, Reisande de Traa, the old school reason for

rules for retrogrades. And before that, I made appearances on other shows, namely Marshall's

show. Pope Francis sang something and us in the

American Catholic Commentariat doing what we do, respond to it. Well, today, I come to you

over the last 48 hours, he said a couple things about Vatican II and those dissenters.

Those of us who are often called traditionalists respond to Vatican II in a peculiar way, or I should say ways.

And Pope Francis's more recent response, which was this morning, to the so-called trads, serves actually to help us parse which traditionalists are, you know,

within the spirit of Catholicism and which are not quite.

And you might find it strange.

I think I do that what Francis said recently about Vatican

2 and the need to accept all of the ecumenical councils between them among Catholics is actually

the least one of the least nonsensical things I think I've ever heard him say and one of the least exciting

for that matter with the main I'm not responding to like everything you said someone might throw

up me a slightly more obscure sound quote but this show is in reference to francis saying that

vatican two is the magisterium of the church duh You heard me say that I'm writing a book on it.

It's one of the 21 acumenical councils.
