We focus on writers who are in town or local literary issues.

And today we're in the studio with Tim Miller and with Paul Manette.

Tim is a writer and performance artist whose works, some Golden States and Buddy

Systems have been performed in Los Angeles this year. He's in the process of opening a performance

space in Santa Monica called Highway's Performance Space at 20th and Olympic. It will be opening in

April. And he was the director and coordinator of the PS122 performance space in Lower Manhattan.

Tim is reading a piece that was written to make people aware of the vigil that's going on right now at USC County Hospital.

I, Tim Miller, as ever a contextualization queen, will now try to place things in time and space for myself.

Context number one. I am writing this today, inauguration day, from a spot on Venice Beach near the homo zone, aka Speedolidu, and I have

sat here at several times throughout my life. Context number two, that I see Oscar Wilde, remember him

as the behind bars poet of compassion, that I see him every bit as much the

guy who wrote the soul of man under socialism, thus putting the fab in Fabianism, as he was the guy
