And a great day it is for Laker fans, even if many may not know it. As Tim Harris emailed the Lakers

staff yesterday to inform them that this will be his final

season with the Lakers.

This is the second major domino to fall in the Mark Walter era.

To me, it's the bigger of the two.

Earlier Jesse and Joey Bus were let go.

Tim Harris is higher up in the hierarchy of the Lakers.

He was the alternate governor for the Lakers. So if Jeannie

couldn't make official league business, he was the person that would step in. He was the number

two person at the company. Rob Plankett is very much the face of the on-court basketball team.

But Tim Harris was in charge of the Lakers and what the Lakers are and has been for a very, very long time.

And to succinctly summarize why I'm so excited about it, frankly, across sports and politics

and all sorts of aspects of life, there's a common thread of people who are on the older
