The Talk of Champions, Brad Logan, joined by our good friend, Tim Brando, who's been all over the place. And Tim, as always, thank you for stopping him just for a few minutes today. Happy to be with you, Brad. I don't know. I got a lot on my mind. I might be there. You may have to cut me off. I got a lot to say before we're done. There's a lot happening. And one game that you and I hold very dear to our heart are the Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball.

0:24.3

I want to start there. I know you had a very fun time in Atlanta, although it may have been a little brief. We did lose Ted Turner and Bobby Cox, and that's a very affluent time in both of our lives. I want to give you an opportunity to speak to your time in Atlanta.

Well, you know it, and a lot of fans in the South know that I did not just the Braves,

0:45.8

but the Hawks for three years and the NBA and the playoffs.

1:32.7

first respite with the Bulls and before he got the championship, his last one, his second game,

1:40.8

our fourth game back, second road game, he beat Atlanta at the buzzer in 1995 in March of 95.

1:48.1

I got to call that game.

1:49.4

I mean, those were great moments.

1:51.3

And I mentioned that particular game because it spawns a Ted Turner story that I have to tell you.

1:55.8

Ted and Jane's story that I have to tell you a little bit.

1:58.6

But first on Bobby, because he's who passed most recently.

2:03.3

I can't tell you how many times my job,

2:06.6

because Ernie was the number one guy for our broadcasts on Sports South.

2:10.8

No, I wasn't on TBS, but I was part of that whole WTBS family

2:15.4

because you couldn't be a broadcaster for the Braves and not be.

2:20.5

And Ernie Sr. was hoping to be working with his son, Ernie Jr.
